To kick off the New Year we invite James Puckett (LPC, NCC, CSAC, MAC), whose counseling expertise lies in in several areas ranging from trauma and stress-related disorders, addiction, human trafficking , domestic violence, suicide and self harm.

James is also a professor of Psychology at UW-LaCrosse, his approach with students is to help apply what they learn in the classroom to their future career. Much of this he attributes from working in the field with at-risk individuals, to see more than a label and responding with empathy.

He also shares his recommendations for “banking up resiliency,” in the face of hard situations, sharing about personal tragedy he experienced this past year and how it re-shaped him.
