Dear friend of Fierce Freedom,

My name is Cat Morgan, if we’ve never met, please allow me to introduce myself. I have been working with Fierce Freedom for the last 5 years, creating educational content through social media, videos, or podcast episodes. You may know me from an educational presentation or event we’ve done in the community.

My passion for anti-trafficking work was first sparked into flame during college after seeing a powerful documentary “Nefarious” about the human sex trade, where I then joined the on-campus organization International Justice Mission. After hearing about the work Fierce Freedom was doing in my own backyard I began volunteering with the org in 2018 and pretty immediately felt I was in the right place doing something I was so passionate about.

After 5 years engaged with this work and learning so much during my time here, it gives me great joy to announce that I will be taking on the new role of Executive Director for Fierce Freedom. I feel so honored to be in a position where I feel God has been preparing me to put into practice the important lessons I’ve learned along the way to inform my future work here. I am so grateful for the opportunity to brainstorm alongside my fantastic team about new and innovative ways we can educate about human trafficking, while staying true to our mission of infusing worth and dignity into every facet of our work.

Also, to our partners and community members, thank you for continuing to show up and support the work we do. Seriously, we could not continue to reach thousands each year and to help survivors find their voices without you, our supporters. I would love to connect with you at one of our upcoming events and share more with you about what the future holds for this organization going forward. Together we can, and will have a lasting impact for the most vulnerable in our community. Thank you for your partnership in this important work.

Sincerely,

Catherine Morgan

Executive Director for Fierce Freedom

"I believe that all jails desperately need your training as the victims of human trafficking frequently pass through the system. If staff is not trained on the warning signs of human trafficking and what the victims my look like, these are missed opportunities to provide help."

“Your agency is my greatest resource to share with anyone I talk to.”

Amy O’Donahue, Deputy, Specialized Enforcement, Domestic Violence & Sexual Assault Officer Ashland and Bayfield County Sheriff’s Offices
